I regularly attend the local Bay Area anime conventions Fanime and YaoiCon. I don't have nearly as much time to watch anime these days, so there are only a few series I really try to keep up with (but even then I can't do it much of the time!) I interned at UCD as a foal manager raising and training foals and yearlings for 9 months, and I've been working as a supervisor and trail guide at a riding stable since 1995. I'm especially partial to otokoyaku (women who play male roles) and to actors with extraordinary vocal variability. My favorite show is Elizabeth (Soragumi version), and I also really like Excalibur and Phantom. Cats - I love cats in addition to horses; I love most animals, really. Unfortunately two of our cats went missing over the years, which is why our cats are no longer allowed outside, except for Simba who refuses to live indoors. Here are my cats, past and present:    Simba, Jerry, and Suzy (these all live with my parents)    And our own little bundles of fluff and claws, Cricket, Serenity, Rembrandt, and Carmen     Fantasy books - I'd still say my favorite series of all time has to be The Belgariad by David Eddings, but a close second would be Robin Hobb's trilogies of Farseer, The Liveship Traders, and The Tawny Man; Liveship especially is my favorite of the three. I also like the rest of David Eddings' series (The Mallorean, The Elenium, and The Tamuli), the early Xanth books, and Harry Potter.
